Introduction
Welcome to my professional portfolio. This site is a culmination of my
graduate work as I pursue a Master of Science in Education degree
through the University of New England.
I have been teaching for ten years and recently decided to further my education focusing on literacy. I am currently employed at Washington Academy in East Machias, Maine. I teach AP Language & Composition and sophomore English.
As part of a school-wide initiative to improve literacy, I am also the chair to the literacy team at the academy. We have been working towards implementing an action plan that will benefit all of our students as we endeavor to increase their skills in literacy.
All of the artifacts included in this site have been aligned to the National Board for Professional Standard five core propositions.
